Mardi Gras
Dear Charlemagne Families
Are we really at the end of our first Semester?! Our staff and students, with your help and encouragement, have accomplished so much: Kindness Month, Winter Warmth Drive, Schoolwide Popcorn Party, Halloween Parade, Unity Day, Ruby Bridges March, Movie at Lunch, Walk and Roll, Safety Town, and so much more. Feeling so much gratitude for all of you as we near the end of January and the first Semester.

Fever
When to stay home
Dear Charlemagne Families,

We have had many students out this week with a variety of different symptoms and illnesses. Please remind kids to wash hands often and thoroughly! Thank you to everyone who has kept students with illness home to prevent more spread in our classrooms.

Please read below to know when students should stay home and when they can return to school.
These are the symptoms we are seeing the most at school:

- Fever of 100.4 or greater - Kids should be fever free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medicine.
- New cough illness - Symptoms need to be consistently improving for 24 hours (no cough or controlled cough).
- Diarrhea/vomiting- Symptom free for at least 24 hours.

Please follow up with your healthcare provider for any unresolved or lingering symptoms.

We appreciate you keeping our Charlemagne Community healthy by keeping kids experiencing these symptoms home to recover!
