Social Emotional Learning at Charlemagne

Try This at Home: The Kindness Ripple
To reinforce these concepts at home, we encourage families to try this simple activity:
  1. Spotlight Kindness: At the end of the day, ask your student to name three specific acts of kindness they observed (or were a part of) that day—in school, in the community, or at home.
  2. The "Why": Ask them: "How do you think that person felt when they received the kindness? How did you feel when you gave/saw it?" This simple discussion models putting themselves in another's shoes and recognizes the positive impact of their actions.

Want to learn more? We practice Conscious Discipline school wide at Charlemagne and there are incredible resources for parents found here

Building Updates

We have received the construction schedule for our covered play area. Construction will begin in early January and be competed by the end of July. Please be aware that there will parts of our playground area and parking lot that will be in the Construction Zone during that time and off limits to children and community members. We are looking forward to the completed structure!

Playground plans are currently being finalized by the District with an anticipated completion date of August 31, 2026.
