Math Madness Due This Week!

Math Madness envelopes are due this week. Daily prizes will be drawn and every class with 100% participation will win a special recess with Principal Eric. See the article below for more details. Many thanks to Marcia Yu and Jessica Keiper for coordinating!
We have an update to the recent direct drive letter. As of Feb. 1, we have received approximately $3000 in direct drive funds, which brings our 2016-17 fundraising total to just over $23,000. However, we still have quite a way to go to meet our fundraising goal of $112,000. If you are able to donate, please follow this link to donate online. Please give as generously as you can, considering that not all families can give equally. Any amount is welcome, and all donations help move us toward our goal of supporting learning for all students. Thank you!

This Week is Math Madness Collection Week!
Every day this week, Principal Eric will randomly pull a daily prize winner from the completed envelopes.
The earlier you turn your envelope you, the more chances you have to win.
Envelopes turned in on Mon. 2/6, get more chances to win a daily prize. Bernadette will announce daily winners. Each class will have its own daily winner (that’s 12 winners/day – 1 from each class for 5 days).
If your class gets 100% participation, your class wins a special recess with Principal Eric!
Just doing the work & turning it in counts for participation. Donations are not required to participate, but are greatly appreciated. Let’s try to close the $92K gap to reach our $112K fundraising goal this year (details in Direct Drive e-mail from Principal Eric sent 1/31).
All money raised goes directly towards Charlemagne staffing needs & are tax deductible.

Eugene Math Festival
February 18TH, 10AM – 1PM
Crater Lake Rooms, EMU 145-146, University of Oregon
We invite all young students, who like math and share a passion for games, problem solving, and hands-on math activities, to come to our first math festival. This year we are able to offer free admission without prior registration. Please feel free to come and explore. Please note, parents are required to accompany our youngest participants (grades 1 – 3). All other parents are encouraged to stay. All parents should be ready to pick up their children when they are done with their activities. We are unable to watch the children outside of the math stations.
