It’s Math Madness time again. Here’s how this fundraiser works:
2/8: Students are sent home with Math Madness packets.
– Math Problems (each grade has their own age appropriate problems)
– Parents: The last page of the math packet is the answer key.
– A directions page on the Math Madness process
– A receipt page.
Notes: Any donations made to Charlemagne can be written off for tax purposes. The receipt provides Charlemagne PTO’s tax ID. For donations above $200, please note the full name & address of donor on the envelope. The PTO would like to mail them a personal tax receipt.
Week of 2/8: Students do math problems & seek pledges
Pledges can be either payment for each correct answer or a flat donation. For example, Grandpa pledges $1 for each correct answer. Sally finishes all 50 problems and got 44 correct. Sally just made $44 for Charlemagne!
Week of 2/15: Parents correct math problems.
Students collect donations.
Week of 2/22: Students turn in collection envelopes.
Collection envelopes can be turned in at the entry breezeway or the classroom.
Math Madness Prizes:
Mr. Anderson randomly picks 1 name per class (2 per grade) from those that turned in collection envelopes that day.
Daily Winners pick a special prize in the office.
Grand Prize Winners:
Every participant gets a chance to win.
Mr. Anderson picks 1 grand prize winner from each class.
The Grand Prize is to have a Mucho Gusto catered lunch with Mr. Anderson.
In addition, every class that achieves 100% participation earns a pizza party!
Note: Participation in Math Madness simply means doing the math and returning the corrected math packet with the collection envelope by the due date. Donations are not required to participate.
