Principal’s Corner

unnamedDear Charlemagne families,

Welcome to 2017! I hope you have stayed safe and warm during this extended winter break. On behalf of the staff, we were happy to see your students on Friday. The district has established that we will be making up school days at the end of the year. Our last day of school may not be confirmed until after spring break in case there are more days missed. Please continue to check our eNews and district website for up to date calendar information.
We have rescheduled our January PTO meeting (now January 12th) to accommodate our Roosevelt and South Eugene French Immersion parents. This special meeting will allow parents to view and provide input on portions of the K-12 French Immersion Master Plan that our staff have been working on. This document, which includes sections the following sections (1) Vision/Purpose (2) Program Design (3) Curriculum/Instruction (4) Assessment/Accountability (5) Staff Recruitment/Retention (6) Professional Development (7) Parent/Community (8) Future Considerations – will be delivered to the superintendent and school board the following week. The meeting will be held in the Charlemagne cafeteria from 6:30 – 8:00 pm on January 12th. I hope to see you in attendance.
Happy New Year,

Eric Anderson
Charlemagne French Immersion Elementary School

Welcome Back!

Dear Families,

That was a nice extended break, hopefully full of family adventures! Most parents are likely happy to be getting back into routines. As you plan after-school activities for the coming weeks, check out the announcements below – there is sure to be more offered in future editions.

The January PTO meeting will be full of information, as we will have our usual meeting from 6:30 – 7:00, and then discussion about Eric’s articulation document, with parents from K-12 invited to join the conversation.

Hope to see you there!

Shannon Tom and Chris Miller,

PTO Co-Chairs
