Hurray for Readathon!

Dear Families,

Readathon excitement is filling the halls, while adult book fans rejoice. Have fun encouraging your kids to read at home, and also reading to them. And don’t forget to log those minutes!

Sign up for eScript and Amazon Smile!

Two simple ways to contribute at no additional cost to you.

Some parents have already been diligently using both eScrip and Amazon Smile, but so many more could be earning free money for our school off the purchases you already are making. With eScrip, businesses such as Market of Choice donate a portion of their profits to our school directly. All you have to do is sign up! Same deal with Amazon Smile. In just  few minutes you can start earning money for the school without all the time and work used to fund-raise otherwise.

1) go to the sign up page

2) type in ‘Charlemagne French Immersion Elementary’ and/or other schools of your choice & then select

3) input required info to complete the registration.

Once you signed up, every time you shop at Market of Choice, a percentage goes to the school!

Amazon Smile

Time students read alone or aloud to their parents as well as parents reading to students will all count!

Also, you can continue to collect pledges for the Read-a-thon.

To make donations easier we’ve set up on-line pledge options:

Prizes will be awarded for minutes read.

Students who read 100 minutes will get a piece of tape to tape Principal Eric to the library wall so he can be “STUCK on reading!”

Pizza Party for the class with the best participation.

Grand prize: eReader (Kindle/Nook) for one lucky participant!

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go. (Dr. Seuss)”

Let the grand adventure begin!
