Thank you from Espirit de Corps
A BIG THANK YOU to all the families that helped make our Winter Warmth Drive a success. First Family Center was very appreciative of all the donations and assured us they would go to good use. Special thanks to Marie Greig and Troy Garcia for preparing the donation lists and boxes and helping drop off all the items.
Another big thank you and round of applause for the parents who participated in the Lunchtime Serenades in December: Joanna Bartlett, Alice Cho, Ben Brinkley, and Joshua Skov.
The kids were serenaded on ukulele, piano, cello, and voice and had the chance to sing along, which they did quite energetically. It was a fun time for everyone involved. Hope to get even more of you on stage next time!
And if this inspired your kids to be the performers, definitely plan on having them be part of the annual talent show in May.
Canoe Island 2016 meeting on Jan. 20
All 4th grade families are invited to a Canoe Island Info night on Jan. 20 at 6:15 p.m. in the Charlemagne cafeteria. Please try to attend as this will be the best forum to get trip information. Childcare is provided. Prior to the meeting, take time to check out the information posted on our school website under the “Resources” link. It is being updated daily, and already has info that you might find helpful. Of course, the Canoe Island website is full of info and pictures.
Apologies for the short notice, but since Mardi Gras is our biggest trip fundraiser (more about that on Jan. 20) we felt it important to get this meeting in ASAP.
