principals cornerWelcome Charlemagne Families. Our staff has spent the summer engaged in professional learning and preparing diligently to make this the best year ever for your children. We are energized and eager for your arrival!

If you did not receive an email with the welcome back to school newsletter, stop by the office to pick up a hard copy.

Please take a moment to look at our new breakfast and lunch menu (attached.) We are excited to now offer breakfast. In addition, we have joined with a few other 4j elementary schools that have adopted a healthier lunch menu with locally produced foods and more creative dishes.

Thank you to Esprit de Corp and PTO for supporting Open House and coordinating volunteers the first few days of school. I feel privileged to be part of this great community.

Back to school we go!

Dear Families,

welcome-back-to-schoolWelcome back to school! We are looking forward to a wonderful and exciting 2015-2016 school year.

Shannon and I are excited to be leading your parent group this year and please feel free to email us with any questions you may have Gina Thompson (gmt0204@gmail.com) Shannon Tom (greenietom@gmail.com).

We hope everyone can join us for our first PTO meeting on Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in our new school Library. Come and learn what is happening at our school and how you can get involved with all kinds of activities.

Don’t forget that Open House is on Tuesday, Sept. 8 starting at 2 p.m.  Come and meet your teachers and explore our new building. The playground has a new Zip Line installed and a Spinner and they are waiting to be tested out.  At 3 p.m., there will be a Popsicle social on the playground, be sure and stop by and get one. Thank you to Esprit de Corps for providing this wonderful treat.

Breakfast is now being served in the cafeteria for $1.40 starting at 7:50 a.m. There will be cereal, yogurt and bagels to choose from. Come have breakfast and get your day started off right.

Please be sure and join us on Sept. 17 for Curriculum night. This will start at 6 p.m. for K-2 parents and then join us for an all parents meeting at 7 p.m.where we will introduce staff and PTO chairs and give you an opportunity to sign up for committees that you may be interested in. At 7:30 p.m., the grade 3-5parents will meet with their teachers. This is a great time to learn what your child will be learning in the coming year.

Fall After School Golf and Tennis

TGA brings the golf course and tennis court to you, making it convenient and affordable to learn and play golf or tennis right on your school campus in a fun and safe environment.

All levels K-6 are welcome whether you are brand new, or you are trying to earn your next TGA color level.

Fall Coyote Kids

Fall Coyote Kids begins the week of Sept. 28.

Grades: 1-2 and 3-5
When: Once a week every Thursday at your school.
Time: As soon as school lets out for the following two hours. Pick up is at the school.
Register: CoyoteKids.net – or call 541-937-KIDS for questions.
Cost: $277 for a four month session.
Scholarships and Payment Plans are available

 


Charlemagne Talented and Gifted Parent Group

Eager to learn more about what it means to be a TAG student, the services, and the avenues of advocacy?

ThinkingJoin the Charlemagne Talented and Gifted Parent Group for a panel discussion with Eric Anderson to help parents explore the answers to these questions. We will be meeting on Sept. 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Charlemagne Library. Our goal is to offer positive support to our children, their teachers, and to our educational community. Kerri Sage, the district TAG coordinator, will also be at our TAG parent meeting.
