Principal’s Corner
Dear parents,

I hope you enjoyed a relaxing and safe long weekend. I’m sure many of you have read the article in the Register Guard this weekend regarding full day kindergarten and the possible move of Charlemagne. Please attend our parent meeting Tuesday evening for details and a Q&A session. See below for the details.principals corner

Parent Meeting: Future of Charlemagne Facility
Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
In the Charlemagne gymnasium.

Full-day kindergarten is coming to Eugene 4J schools next year. A few days ago the school board voted to move forward with implementing full-day K.

This is great news, but it presents a challenge for Charlemagne. Our school building does not have enough room to add full-day kindergarten, which requires more classroom space.

The district has scheduled a meeting to talk with parents and gather input and ideas about facility options for the future of our school. The meeting is on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

All Charlemagne parents and guardians are invited to join this important conversation and share their thoughts. No decisions will be made at the meeting. Parents’ input will be shared with the school board, which will make decisions about our facility in the future.

Childcare will be provided, please RSVP in the main office.

No School Monday, Future Charlemagne Facility Options Meeting Tuesday

Dear Families,

We hope you all enjoy this No School Monday! And we hope to see you all at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening for the valuable meeting the district has scheduled to talk with parents and gather input and ideas about facility options for the future of our school.

One of our Charlemagne parents, Angele Mort, is having a book signing this Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble. This is a fundraiser for our school with a percentage of her book sales going to Charlemagne.

If you would like to opt out of the school directory, please let the school office know by Friday, Dec. 5.

The Holiday Fair and Poinsettias delivery is set for Friday, Dec. 5 in the gym. If kids would like to participate in the Holiday Fair and have not signed up, there is still time to do so. Stop by the office to sign up. The kids have a great time making items and selling them.

If your family or friends choose to purchase a holiday tree, please consider a trip to Spring Creek Holly Farm in Leaburg. They will donate 50% of your purchase back to Charlemagne when you or your family or friends mention our school. Please see the information below.

And please remember, if you choose to do any shopping online, see below information about Innsbrook and amazon.smile.

We hope everyone has a great week!

PTO Co-Chairs
