This will be an eventful and informative week at Charlemagne. In addition to our regularly scheduled PTO meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 6:30-8 p.m., the South Eugene French Immersion PTO will be hosting a French Immersion Panel Discussion on Tuesday, Nov 18. Below is a brief description.
Ever wonder, “Where does the French Immersion path lead after Charlemagne?” Then please attend the French Immersion Panel Discussion to get some of your questions answered. Hosted by the SEHS French Immersion Parent Group, the panel is made up of educators from the University of Oregon, South Eugene High School and Roosevelt Middle School as well as current and former French Immersion students. Bring a friend and enjoy an engaging evening of useful information.
The event will be on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Charlemagne gym. Before the French Immersion Panel Discussion, the PTO will be announcing their operating budget for the 2014-15 school year. We hope to see you in the library from 6:30-6:50 p.m. for this news.
Our students will enjoy an anti-bullying/harassment assembly from Pee Wee Harrison on Monday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. Learn more about it by clicking here for a brochure. Last week, and this week, our staff will introduce the Stop! Walk! Talk! curriculum to educate our children on how to appropriately handle issues of bullying and harassment at school. A research based curriculum, and uniform school-wide response will improve the climate for our students. An overview of the program will be provided Thursday evening at the PTO meeting.

Multiple Fun Evening Opportunities at School This Week
We hope to see you all Tuesday evening for the PTO operating budget presentation followed by the French Immersion Panel Discussion. Hearing from older students about the program is fun and a great opportunity to learn what is ahead for our children!
And because we will all enjoy ourselves so much Tuesday evening we won’t want to leave school, we can all head right back on Thursday evening for our November PTO Meeting. Click here for the agenda. Both nights include childcare and a great chance to connect with other Charlemagne families.
On one of your many trips to school this week please consider bringing some new or gently used clothes to Bernadette, in the office, for her to have on hand in the Health Room. We especially need to up our supply of small pants, underwear, and leggings.
Also, check out the volunteer sign-up board. We need a few more adults to help with health screenings.
While you are in the office, remember our Turkey Donation Drive continues this week. Please see the information below.
Tuesday: 6:30 – 6:50 – PTO operating budget (library)
Tuesday: 7:00 – 8:30 – French Immersion Panel Discussion (gym)

Hope everyone has a great week!
