PTO Meeting Tuesday 6:30 pm Charlemagne Library

Dear Families,

Our November PTO Meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday, November 19) at 6:30pm in the Charlemagne library. Please join us to hear updates from Mme. Morley and PTO committees. Free childcare is available. Please click here for the complete agenda.
Donations for our annual Turkey Donation Drive will be accepted through Thursday of this week. Please consider helping Charlemagne families in need of food assistance during the holidays. It is a wonderful opportunity to show we are thankful to be part of such a caring and collaborative community.  Donations can be dropped off in the office. Please see below for more information.
Don’t forget that our 3rd Annual Holiday Market is just around the corner! This fun and festive event will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 2:45-5:30. There is always a wide variety of handcrafted items for sale. You will be amazed by the talents of the artisans within our community! If you would like to sell items at the fair, please sign up for a table in the Charlemagne office. More details are included below.
Our annual Spring Creek Holly Farm Holiday tree fundraiser begins the Friday after Thanksgiving. Take a drive out the beautiful McKenzie highway and pick out your holiday tree at Spring Creek and they will donate 50% of the cost of the tree to Charlemagne! We were told that Charlemagne was one of their biggest supporters last year and they are looking forward to seeing more families this year. More details and a link to the flyer are included below.
Activities this week are:
Monday:  4th Grade Canoe Island Informational Meeting – 6:30 – Library
Tuesday: PTO Meeting – 6:30-8:00 – Library
Thursday: Last day to donate to Turkey Drive
Friday: Picture re-takes
Remember there is no school the week of Thanksgiving (November 25–29). We will take a week off of the eNews and be back on December 2. Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy your time with family and friends!

Turkey Donation Drive!

In honor of Thanksgiving, let’s remember those in our own school community. Please consider donating to: Charlemagne’s Turkey Donation Drive, November 12 – 22nd.

Let’s make sure everyone has a feast on Thanksgiving Day! Please donate cash or checks to benefit Charlemagne families in need of food assistance during the holidays. Look for the orange pumpkin to deposit your donations in the main office. Make checks out to “Fox Hollow PTO.”

Note: Any surplus money will be donated to Food for Lane County. Sponsored by Esprit de Corps. For more information, contact Gina Thompson 541-687-7046.

Confidential: If you are struggling financially, and could use some food assistance this Thanksgiving, please speak up. Don’t be shy (no questions asked), just call us. Please give your name to Heather in the main office (790-3177) or to the Esprit de Corps Committee Chair: Gina Thompson (687-7046). We will keep your name confidential.

Holiday Tree Fundraiser

We are excited to be participating in Spring Creek Holly Farm’s 4th year of their Give Back To Schools program!
The Give Back to Schools Program is very simple. Buy any tree from Spring Creek Holly Farm, tell them Charlemagne’s name and they will return 50% of the retail price of that tree to our school. All trees are $4.00/ft so a 8′ tree would retail for $32.00 and $16.00 will be sent to our school after the holidays! There are no limits and the purchaser does not have to be affiliated with our school in anyway, so friends, family and co-workers are welcome to participate. Just let them know to mention Charlemagne when they are there!
They are open for the season beginning November 29th until December 23rd, hours are 9:00-5:00 every day of the week. They are located a short, beautiful drive up the McKenzie Hwy. We were told that Charlemagne has been one of their biggest supporters for the past two years and we’re hoping to see many families there again this year!
Please click here for a flyer with more information. You do not need the flyer when you go though, just mention that you would like to donate to Charlemagne Fox Hollow.
