Dear Families,

Our first PTO Meeting of the school year was well-attended by 25 parents last Tuesday evening.  If you weren’t able to join us, please check out the 9/20 PTO Meeting Minutes.

Our annual Back-to-School Picnic was a fun success on Friday night with delicious food graciously prepared by the Fifth Grade families. Thanks to all who participated!
Thanks to all the families who attended the Stand for Children House Party at the Flynn’s on Sunday.  We added eight new members and folks heard about ways to get involved with supporting our schools.  Stand will be hosting 2 community meetings where information will be given, and feedback will be solicited. The first meeting is about the  Achievment Gap, and the 2nd meeting is about Supporting Teachers and Administrators through assessment, evaluation and continuing education. Want more information? Click Here.

Activities to look forward to this week are:

  • Parent French Night on Tuesday
  • Garden Club beginning on Wednesday
  • Continuing to help your kids sell Gift Wrap/Innisbrook products.  This fundraiser earned us over $9,000 last year.  That’s almost a tenth of our fundraising efforts!  Our goal this year is $10,626 – Let’s go for it!!!
Many thanks to the parents who make these events, clubs and fundraisers happen to benefit our Charlemagne school community!
Wishing you health and vitality this Fall,
Your PTO Co-chairs,
Becky Smith and Larisa Lilles
