Dear Charlemagne Families,

I hope Curriculum Night was an enjoyable and informative experience for those of you who were able to attend. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or feedback about what your heard at curriculum night or about your child’s educational program. I’m also happy to discuss Charlemagne’s school wide curricular focus with interested parents. I have to say I was impressed with the number of parents who were able to attend curriculum night. If you were unable to attend, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me. We also plan to post slides from my Curriculum Night presentation on our website in the next day or two.

Safety Week
Next week students will practice Fire, Earthquake, Secure Room and  Room Clear safety procedures. On Monday during morning announcements I will preview the upcoming safety procedures that we will practice during the week and classroom teachers will review each procedure before the actual practice drill. Here is the schedule:

  • Mon. Morning announcement to review Safety Week procedures
  • Tues Fire & Earthquake drill
  • Wed. Secure Room drill
  • Thurs. Room Clear drill

We are careful to communicate to students that these safety procedures are seldom if ever needed, but safe schools like Charlemagne are always prepared just in case. I encourage parents to discuss the various safety procedures especially with our younger students.
